We are looking for a DB Administrator to join our CTO team, who will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of heterogeneous database systems, both on-premise and in cloud environments (AWS/Azure). This role involves managing mission-critical SQL Server and MySQL databases, ensuring high availability, performance tuning, data integrity, and security.

YOUR NEW KEY RESPONSIBILITY:​

  • Administering and configuring SQL Server and MySQL databases​

  • Managing both on-premise and cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure)​

  • Monitoring database performance and performing tuning activities​

  • Implementing and managing backup and recovery plans​

  • Ensuring data security and managing access controls​

  • Automating DBA tasks through scripting and process optimization​

  • Collaborating with DevOps and development teams to support the full application lifecycle​

  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation​

  • Supporting database migration projects between on-premise and cloud environments
    ​

YOU MAY BE A FIT FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE:​

  • Proven experience in managing Microsoft SQL Server (2018+) and MySQL​

  • Solid knowledge of AWS/Azure and database-related services (e.g., RDS)​

  • Strong command of SQL and the ability to analyze and optimize complex queries​

  • Experience in backup and restore strategies, performance monitoring, and logging​

  • Hands-on experience with database migrations across different environments and platforms​

  • Familiarity with tools such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), pgAdmin, and MongoDB Compass​

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills​

  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams​

  • Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement​

  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken​

  • It’s a plus: experience with CI/CD tools, monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana), automation (Terraform, Ansible), Disaster Recovery and High Availability (HA), replication, clustering, sharding, MariaDB, and MongoDB​
