We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our CTO team, with proven experience in building new data platforms to be part of a new team. You will design, implement and manage a scalable data infrastructure leveraging AWS and/or Databricks, ensuring robust data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration processes.
YOUR NEW KEY RESPONSIBILITY:
- Design and implement end-to-end data architectures (data lake, data warehouse, ingestion and transformation pipelines).
 - Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for both batch and streaming data.
 - Develop and manage infrastructure using AWS or Databricks.
 - Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
 - Implement data quality checks, logging, and monitoring systems.
 - Define and promote best practices and coding standards across the data ecosystem.
 - Support analytical and machine learning use cases with efficient data models and reliable pipelines.
 
YOU MAY BE A FIT FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE:
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in complex enterprise environments.
 - Hands-on experience building and operating a data platform from the ground up.
 - Strong knowledge of AWS and/or Databricks.
 - Proficiency in Python, SQL and Spark.
 - Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, Step Functions).
 - Familiarity with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
 - Understanding of data governance, data quality, and security by design principles.
 - Experience with common data formats (Parquet, Avro, JSON) and ELT/ETL paradigms.
 - Knowledge of streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis).
 - Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., GDPR, audit readiness).
 
IT'S A PLUS IF YOU HAVE:
- Understanding of data modeling techniques
 - Strong SQL skills
 - Hands-on experience with dbt
