We are looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) to join our CTO team, to be part of a new Data Platform team. You will be involved in the administration and optimization of heterogeneous environments, both on-premise and in the cloud (AWS), ensuring performance, reliability, and security for mission-critical systems.
YOUR NEW KEY RESPONSIBILITY:
- Administration and configuration of SQL Server, MongoDB, MariaDB, and MySQL databases
- Management of on-premise and cloud (AWS) environments
- Continuous performance monitoring and tuning activities
- Implementation of backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies
- Data security management, access control, and compliance
- Automation of recurring activities
- Collaboration with DevOps and Development teams throughout the application lifecycle
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation
- Support for migration projects to/from cloud environments
- Participation in on-call rotations to support production systems
YOU MAY BE A FIT FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE:
Hard Skills
- Solid experience in administering Microsoft SQL Server (2018+), MySQL, MariaDB, and MongoDB
- Experience with HA/DR architectures, replication, clustering, and sharding
- Strong knowledge of SQL and ability to optimize complex queries
- Proficiency in backup/restore strategies, monitoring, and logging
- Experience with database migrations across different platforms and environments
- Familiarity with tools such as pgAdmin, SSMS, Mongo Compass, etc.
Soft Skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Proactive mindset and orientation toward continuous improvement
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
IT'S A PLUS IF YOU HAVE:
- Previous experience in Data Engineer or Data Analyst roles
- Knowledge of advanced data modeling principles or data pipeline development
- Familiarity with orchestration and data processing tools
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools, monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana), and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible)
